ISW Program held on 9 – 12 May

ISW (International Student Week) was held on May 9 – 12, 2023. We accepted six fifth-year students from Mahidol University in Thailand.

On the first day (May 9), orientation, hospital tour, and welcome party were held. Nineteen students from the School of Dentistry and Graduate School of Dentistry also participated, deepening the friendship among the students. The training began on the second day. The program included a tour of the clinic, case discussions, and mini lectures. On the afternoon of the final day (May 12), Dean Prof. Nishimura handed out certificates to the students and they expressed their gratitude for the program. They also commented on the differences between the clinical training at Osaka University and Mahidol University, as well as their impressions of the training.

Several universities have already applied to the ISW program, and we will continue accepting students from abroad. The School of Dentistry hopes that these efforts will continue and that students from overseas will become interested in learning and research at the Osaka University School of Dentistry.
