On 11 July, Prof. Hsin-Chung Cheng, Dean of the Collage of Oral Medicine, Taipei Medical University, Taiwan and his group visited Dean Prof. Riko Nishimura.
They came to Japan on the occasion of five students from Taipei Medical University (hereafter referred to as TMU) joining the ISW program* for two weeks from 10 July. Dean Prof Nishimura, Vice Dean Prof Nakano and Prof Imazato from the Graduate School of Dentistry attended the meeting and exchanged views on the Double Degree Program (DDP) and other issues. TMU is the only university with which our Graduate School has a DDP and one TMU student is currently participating in the DDP. The student will start her two-year study at our school in October this year.
After the meeting with our Dean, Prof Yamashiro, the Director of the Centre for Global Oral Health (CGOH), also met with them and exchanged ideas and information on the future activities of the CGOH.
