ISW Program held on 10-21 July

The ISW (International Student Week) is a short-term training program for overseas students conducted in Graduate School of Dentistry, Osaka University (OU).

The second acceptance of this academic year was held on July 10 – 21, 2023 and we had five fourth-year students from Taipei Medical University (TMU) in Taiwan.

Following the orientation and hospital tour on the first day, the training program begun from the second day. TMU students visited departments in Graduate School of Dentistry and had mini lectures, and visited clinics in the Dental Hospital, having clinic tours and case discussions.

As off-campus activities, the students visited manufacturing company of dental equipment and materials located in Kyoto.

During this period, Dr Cheng, the Dean of the school of Dentistry, TMU visited our school, and the students could have a lunch with deans of both schools.

At the welcome party, the students presented their own university and interact with students in our school.

On the last day, our dean, Prof. Nishimura, handed over the certificates.

Mentioning the double degree program between OU and TMU, he conveyed his expectation to welcome students again through this program.
