ISW Program held on 13-17 November

ISW (International Student Week) is a short-term training program for overseas students conducted at the Graduate School of Dentistry, Osaka University (OU).

This time we had hosted five students from Srinakharinwirot University(SWU) in Thailand from November 13-17, 2023.

On the first day, the orientation, a greeting by Dean Prof. Nishimura and the hospital tour were conducted. From the second day, SWU students had experienced eight classes, including mini lecture conducted by departments of the Graduate School of Dentistry, observation of outpatient clinics or visit of operation room, case discussion by clinics of the Dental Hospital. The demonstration of AI chair unit was conducted by the Division for Medical Information.

At the welcome party on the second day, SWU students introduced themselves and their university using slides prepared for this occasion. Some popular souvenirs from Thailand were presented from SWU students to OU students. OU students, who received souvenirs, listened enthusiastically to SWU students’ explanation.

At the end of the training program, SWU students expressed their gratitude to the dean for the warm welcome and experience they had during the training period.

Our school has been accepting students and researchers from SWU. It is expected that this ISW program will strengthen the relationships between the two universities.
