ISW Program held on 5-9 February

The ISW (International Student Week) is a short-term training program for overseas students conducted in Graduate School of Dentistry, Osaka University (OU). From February 5 (Mon.) to February 9 (Fri.), we hosted a total of six dental students from Wonkwang University（WU） in South Korea and Taipei Medical University（TMU） in Taiwan.

As we hosted students from two universities in Korea and Taiwan together, there are friendly interaction not only between OU students but also between WU and TMU students.

The student said that it is interesting to discover the differences among three countries in the class. After completing the training, the students were handed a certificate of completion by Dean Prof. Nishimura. They expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome they received and for fruitful training program they had.

Wonkwang University participated in this ISW Program for the first time. This was realized after the conclusion of the inter-faculty Academic Exchange Agreement between OU and WU in July last year.

From April 2023 to March 2024, we have hosted 33 dental students from six universities in Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, and China in this program.

We would like to continue to promote the academic exchanges with overseas universities through this program.
