ISW Program held on 7-10 May

ISW (International Student Week) is a short-term training program for overseas students conducted at the Graduate School of Dentistry, Osaka University (OU).

This time we had hosted five fifth year students from Chiang Mai University (CMU) in Thailand from May 7to 10, 2024.

On the first day, the orientation, the welcome lunch hosted by Dean Prof. Nishimura and the hospital tour were conducted. From the second day, the CMU students visited the departments of the Graduate School of Dentistry and the clinics or divisions of the Dental Hospital and had training courses. The training course were included mini-lecture, observation of outpatient clinics, visiting the operating room case discussion and the demonstration of the AI chair unit.

The welcome party was attended by OU students and friendly relations were established between CMU and OU students.

At the end of the training program, the CMU students conveyed their gratitude to the Dean and reported their experience that they could get to see new technologies that are not yet available in Thailand and could gain new perspectives in dentistry.

The next ISW will start from June 10, and we will host students from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).
