Visit by the Head of the Melbourne Dental School and Delegation

On October 6, 2025, a delegation from the Melbourne Dental School visited the Graduate School of Dentistry at the University of Osaka. The delegation was led by Dr. Petros Papagerakis, Head of the Melbourne Dental School, including Associate Professor Roy Judge, Associate Professor Satish Babu Alapati, and Mr. Andre Tan, Manager of Business Development at the University of Melbourne.

Guided by Associate Professor Hiroshi KUROSAKA from the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the group toured several facilities, including the Prosthodontics and Implantology, the Center for Translational Dental Research, Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics, the Joint Research Division for Oral Data Science, and Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Osaka Dental Hospital.

Following the hospital tour, the delegation paid courtesy visits to Director YAMASHIRO of the University of Osaka Dental Hospital and Dean NAKANO of the Graduate School of Dentistry,University of Osaka. They exchanged insights on the overview of The University of Melbourne and discussed strengthening collaboration in student exchange and research fields. The visit served as a meaningful step toward enhancing the future cooperative relationship between the two institutions.
