General Dental Restoration Laboratory

Ten dental technicians are working as technical experts, producing dental prostheses at the General Dental Restoration Laboratory. Technical trainees who were graduated from dental technician schools all over Japan, are also studying hard supervised by experienced dental technicians to acquire highly advanced technique.

The laboratory was renovated in April, 2011 and now it has a clean, bright and functional environment. More than 1,100 crowns and bridges, and 550 removable dentures are manufactured annually. Recently over 130 superstructures of dental implants and over 120 full zirconia crowns are produced as well. The laboratory greatly supported Osaka University Dental Hospital by manufacturing more than 3,000 dental prostheses per year.

After introducing a sophisticated CAD/CAM system for ceramic materials in November,2014. Thereafter, we are actively working on the design and processing of esthetic dental prostheses and implant superstructures using ceramic materials, and are contributing to the Dental Hospital by using its cutting-edge dental technique.
