Oral Rehabilitation and Geriatric Dentistry including Implantology

 Department of Prosthodontics and Oral Rehabilitation was established in 1953 and has trained and produced a lot of excellent prosthodontists. Currently more than 30 dentists including 7 faculties are working on clinical practice, education and research. The aim of our department is providing the prosthodontic treatments not only for missing teeth but also hard (jaw) and soft tissue defect, and maintain and improve the oral hypofunction of the older patients.

■Contents of treatments

 To restore occlusion, mastication, swallowing, speaking, and appearance, we have been utilizing various types of prostheses such as crown, bridge, removable denture, over denture, maxillofacial prosthesis, and implant for oral rehabilitation and maintenance of oral health. In addition, we have been collaborating with other dental and medical departments for maintain and improving the oral and general health of patients including older adults.

■Specialty clinic

 We have the specialty clinics as follows; Geriatric dentistry, Removable denture prosthesis, Maxillofacial prosthesis including cleft lip and palate patients, Implant dentistry, Sports dentistry. Especially, for the oral cancer patients, and cleft lip and palate patients, we collaborate with the center for oral cancer and the center for cleft lip and palate treatment to perform ideal restoration.mplant dentistry, Sports dentistry
